2025 Shore Sales and Marketing Summit Recap

Jul 25, 2025

Homes for HOPE is beyond grateful to Shore Consulting for inviting us to participate in this year’s Sales and Marketing Leadership Summit as one of their Partners With a Purpose. It was such a joy to spend meaningful time with so many companies that already support HOPE, and to connect with many new people interested in learning more about our mission. This inspiring event was a highlight of 2025.

Shore Sales and Marketing Summit

It started out with a totally rad 80s party to welcome the 650+ attendees. I hosted what we dubbed an “80s Family Game Night” at our booth complete with Trivial Pursuit, Simon, Slinkys, Rubix cubes, Chinese checkers, Legos, and of course Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots. The costumes were bodacious and the tunes nostalgic. “I pity the fool that missed out on this party!” – Mr. T (probably).

We began both mornings of the Summit with an early morning prayer “meet up”. We encouraged each other with passages of Scripture and song lyrics and responded with meaningful reflections on what was shared. We then prayed for Jeff Shore and his team, the building industry, and each other. It is so edifying to know that others are striving to honor God through their work in this industry, and Homes for HOPE counts it a privilege to be a catalyst for these connections.

Shore Sales and Marketing Summit

In addition to the days of top tier training and coaching we received from the incredible line-up of speakers and thought leaders, I was given the opportunity to celebrate the philanthropic culture and impact of the building industry as part of a panel with Mollie Elkman of She Built Foundation, Scott Larson of HomeAid, and Carol Ruiz of NewGround PR and Marketing. We fielded questions on how to best come alongside charitable organizations to generate the most impact. I’ve said time and again that the building industry is the most generous industry I’ve come across in my more than two decades of nonprofit leadership. I’m truly fortunate to serve the world alongside and within the building industry and couldn’t be more grateful to Jeff Shore for his willingness to advocate for those of us in the philanthropic space and share his platform with us. What a gift!

The entire Shore Consulting team is to be commended for putting together a flawless event, and everyone reading this should make it a priority to attend next year in Chula Vista, CA. I’m already making plans. I wonder what the party theme will be next year…?!
