Reflections from the Epcon Communities National Conference 2026

Epcon Communities recently celebrated their 40th birthday by reflecting on their rich history and looking ahead at a landscape rich with opportunities for growth, change, and missional alignment. As a first-time sponsor, Homes for HOPE joined in the celebration and heard keynote addresses from Jon Acuff, Tim Sullivan, and Chad Sanschagrin.

With sunny Aventura, FL as the setting, speakers, breakouts, panel discussions, and an 80’s themed mixer filled two days with meaningful, inspiring and team-building content. Vice President of Public Affairs Nanette M. Pfister led a discussion about corporate philanthropy and highlighted the importance of learning what causes are important to employees while discerning giving strategies.

“The Epcon National Conference is always a powerful reminder of what makes this network so special,” says Caitlin Schrimpf, Epcon Communities Franchising Director of Operations. “It’s not just the ideas shared or the strategies discussed—it’s the people that shape Epcon Communities. We’re extremely grateful to have Homes for HOPE as a partnering sponsor this year. This organization fits so well into our event’s spirit of collaboration, generosity, and genuine care for creating home and communities that enhance people’s lives.”

As much of the country returned home to freezing temperatures, certainly hearts were still warm from the one-of-a-kind experience.

“The Epcon culture is truly remarkable,” reports Kent Rice, Homes for HOPE partnership representative. “We were blessed to be able to share our vision with so many caring people who were interested in what God is doing with this mission.”
