NoviHome Partnership Announcement

A few months ago, I was scrolling through LinkedIn, as one does, and this video from our friends at NoviHome came across my feed. It got the wheels turning in my head… What if we could use this technology at Homes for HOPE to communicate frontline stories of impact with a builder partner’s team, trades, suppliers, and service providers throughout their Homes for HOPE Project? I sent an email, and before I knew it, the NoviHome team was eagerly customizing their app to work for us, generously donating their time and talents!

The Homes for HOPE Project Process

As a builder himself, our founder, Jeff Rutt of Keystone Custom Homes, has encouraged us to make it a priority not to disrupt a builder’s normal processes. On a Homes for HOPE Project our partners build their product with their teams in their communities…they market and sell to their customers. The only difference with a house they choose as their Homes for HOPE Project is they donate funds generated by the sale of the home to invest in job-creating, dignifying solutions that help families living in some of the toughest places on earth overcome poverty for good. The donations generated from one house can equip thousands of families around the world with a safe place to save, business loans, and training that enables them to provide for themselves and find lasting hope in Jesus Christ.

Before they start building a home, we hold a launch event where a builder invites their trade partners, suppliers, and service providers to hear about Homes for HOPE’s mission and how we support incredible men and women like Faustin and Tess. Those partners then commit to donate or discount their services on the build, which increases the profit margin on the sale of the home, giving HOPE the opportunity to serve even more people! This is followed by an event after the sale of the home where everyone comes together to joyously celebrate the donation generated and impact created. Companies that might never write a check to Homes for HOPE choose instead to discount their purchase orders or donate materials or labor… these relationships are the key to success for a Homes for HOPE Project.

How NoviHome Keeps Partners Engaged

This is why we’re so excited for the custom app that NoviHome built for us! Before, a trade partner might complete their part of the homebuilding process and move on to the next house, temporarily forgetting the significance of what they just did. Or an executive of a company might decide to participate in the Homes for HOPE Project, but their boots on the ground team might not be aware they’re alleviating global poverty as they do their job with excellence. Now, at each stage of the building process, a builder’s entire team of partners (not to mention the partners’ teams!) will be able to receive real-time stories about the people they are serving in their journey out of generational poverty. Our hope is that more and more people will understand that they are a part of something so much bigger than themselves as they join Homes for HOPE in activating the building industry to fight global poverty and invest in the world’s underserved entrepreneurs. NoviHome is helping to make that possible, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their partnership and generosity.
