Heartland Home, Global Impact
Lenexa, KS: Arise Homes continues to model what “Grounded in Faith” looks like as they kicked off the launch of their second Homes for HOPE Project in two years. On a beautiful, clear Kansas day, Arise executives and staff joined their trade partners at the project lot to discuss the heart that shapes the homes they build and the missions they believe in.
Co-owners Austin Chamberlain and Matt Mabe addressed the group, called out raffle prize winners and introduced local HOPE International representative Amy Sieve and Homes for HOPE representative Kent Rice. Sieve shared about HOPE’s mission and Rice led a presentation including an exercise that demonstrated the “multiplier effect” of a HOPE donation versus traditional charity. Chamberlain then announced the fundraising goal: “More than last time!”
After a delicious lunch was shared under the huge tent, the throng dispersed to return to the very work that allows Homes for HOPE to serve HOPE International’s entrepreneurial clients. We are grateful to Arise Homes and its gifted, caring people who know that one home in Kansas can break the cycle of generational poverty for hundreds of families around the world.
“Thank you to Austin, Matt, Janelle, Holly and the amazing team at Arise Homes,” says Rice. “You are providing a resoundingly faithful answer to the same question that was asked of Jesus: ‘Who is my neighbor?’”
