Riverwood Homes NWA Launches First Homes for HOPE Project
FAYETTEVILLE, AR – When a family builder joins its partners to help underserved families around the world, the atmosphere is charged with excitement and anticipation. On a brisk afternoon that followed an evening of severe storms in northwest Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma, the staff of Riverwood Homes NWA and their loyal trades and suppliers gathered in their beautiful Design Center to officially launch Riverwood’s first Homes for HOPE Project.
Attendees enjoyed lunch and a short program facilitated by Homes for HOPE Partnership Representative Kent Rice as they learned about how microfinancing and savings groups can create jobs, hope, and opportunity for families living in poverty. A role-playing exercise demonstrated the sustainable outcomes of HOPE International programs and how the approach differs from traditional relief.
As the afternoon concluded with comments and an invitation from President Taylor Marquess, partners lingered to learn more about how they could help in this “family-first” effort.
“Riverwood Homes is thrilled to be able to partner with Homes for HOPE in the building of our first Homes for HOPE [Project]!” says Marquess. “All our team, trades, and vendor partners are eager to deliver an impactful donation that will help with Homes for HOPE’s mission of providing a way for communities around the globe to fight poverty. Without Homes for HOPE and their team, there would be limited options for a homebuilder based in Fayetteville, Arkansas to make a global impact for the Kingdom.”
