“PULL!”

Davidson Realty Supports Homes for HOPE in Annual Memorial Event

Jacksonville, FL: Clay targets and shotgun pellets filled the sky on October 15th, 2026 during Jim Davidson’s 11th Annual Clay Day hosted by the Davidson Cares outreach arm of Davidson Realty. Sherry Davidson organizes the event in honor of her husband Jim, who helped launch Davidson Cares then tragically passed away 2023.

After lunch, participants filled a huge fleet of golf carts to shoot in support of Sherry’s mission partners. Several companies generously sponsored the event, including local homebuilders Providence Homes and Riverside Homes. Davidson Cares completely sold out the teams and sponsorships and we were able to raise $140,000 to support causes close to their hearts. Due to the low overhead, almost all of the donations were able to be distributed to the following charities:

  • Mercy Support Services- Helps furnish their new homes under construction to provide stability for families facing homelessness and crisis in Clay County.
  • St Augustine Youth Services – Helps with costs for the Shee Family Independent Living Village to help the young men aging out of SAYS.
  • Builders Care – Provides a new roof to St. Johns Homeless Coalition and helps a local family modify their home while facing unimaginable challenges.
  • Five Star Veterans Center – Wraps the van in Five Star signage and provides some fun outings for the veterans. They provide the veterans with a place to live and tools to become independent.
  • Operation Lifeline – Helps veterans have a safe place to live and a pathway to employment and independence. They are building/remodeling a training facility and two places to provide housing.
  • Looping for a Cure – Helps fuel research, improve treatment options and provides hope for families with brain cancer.
  • NEFBA Charitable Foundation – Funding for Russell Rowland’s Turkey Drive.
  • Homes for Hope – Supports Hope International with microloans and savings groups while sharing the Gospel.
  • Port in the Storm – Provides some outdoor space for the homeless youth they serve in St. Augustine
  • INK! Investing in Kids – Funds two scholarships and mentoring for two students in St. Johns County

“I hold these causes close to my heart,” says Sherry. “Thank you from my family, my companies and Davidson Cares for letting us honor and remember Jim and bless these charities once again!”

Homes for HOPE is grateful to have been included in this event for the past several years and for the lives that Davidson Reality has touched in Jacksonville and around the world
